deviantART August 7thYou have probably heard about August 7th. It will be the day that deviantART will celebrate its 5th anniversary. Some planned to submit nothing and comment the much as possible, to take the community back and support °jark. But I have just read this : [link] That's a great idea. It's about submitting, but all yellow things. Anything that is yellow-related. Because yellow represents °jark I found it nice and I think it would have more impact. Also, changing your avatar or things like that to yellow things would be nice.
It's only a suggestion, but I found it was a nice idea.</EDIT>
DeviantART exists since almost 5 years. It has become a community, where everybody talks, become friends and share common interest, along with respect. It's a dream that became true for those 2 founders.
But now, changes are occuring. The 2 founders are not Staff members anymore. Those who have made that dream true aren't there anymore. Where is deviantART going?
I know that I'm not a member since a so long time. But since I've joined, lots of things have changed for me. And I think it's also the case for lots of other members too, whoever they are. DeviantART has changed lots of lives, especially for those who are there from the beginning. And those who are there since the very beginning of the things are °jark and °matteo
DeviantART is getting away from the community aspect that was planned. It's getting as a corporation, to make money and nothing else. But deviantART is way more than that. It's about art, lives and respect. A community must live that way.
I'd like you to take a look at that deviation. [link] A letter that's adressed to the staff members. We're asking for an explanation. We want the community back. Spread the word.
I know I probably won't change much things since I'm not really known around deviantART, but if it can make some people think over some things, then it's just fine with me.
I'm not telling everything's wrong. I don't know much. I only want to tell that deviantART is not the same without °jark and °matteo, the ones who have started that wonderful community, who have succeeded in their dream.
